About HeyConcierge

Operators in travel, e-commerce
and tech, building modern
hospitality tools.

HeyConcierge is the product the three of us wished existed while running our own businesses. We build it for hosts who treat their properties as serious businesses and need tools that match.

2025

Founded in Tromsø to close the gap between independent hosts and the kind of guest experience only the chain hotels can afford.

Our mission

Give every host the kind of guest experience only the best hotels can afford.

The big chains have 24/7 concierge desks, multilingual staff and software budgets to match. Independent hosts and small operators have themselves, a phone, and a long list of properties they would rather be growing than babysitting.

We're building the layer that closes that gap: instant answers in any language, automated check-in details, and recommendations that earn the host money. All on the channels guests already use.

Meet the founders

Three perspectives.
One product.

Travel, e-commerce, and tech. Each founder owns a side of the problem.

Jacob Nørby

Co-founder · Strategy & Business Development

Works at the strategic layer of the Nordic travel industry, where commercial relationships, product development, and operations meet. As Head of Cruise and Corporate at one of the largest travel companies in Scandinavia, he builds and manages direct partnerships with the world's major cruise lines. His approach is structural: fewer intermediaries, stronger supplier relationships, higher margins, and products that hold their value without constant personal maintenance. Thinks in systems, not tasks, with little patience for organisations that mistake activity for progress and a sharp eye for where tech and AI will reshape hospitality.

The best operators in this industry aren't struggling with hospitality. They're struggling with availability. That's a solvable problem.

Lars Jakobsen

Co-founder · Commerce & Growth

Works at the intersection of digital commerce and product, where conversion and scale are decided. Former CEO of MyStore, Norway's largest e-commerce platform, running operations for 1,500+ webshops handling several billion NOK in annual orders. Background covers the full commerce stack: product launches, user acquisition, checkout flow, and retention loops. Approach is pragmatic: the simplest implementation that ships and converts beats the elegant one that does not. Thinks in funnels, with a builder's instinct for what users will actually click on.

Hosts are running a business. They need a tool that pays for itself in the first month, not a science project.

Erik Austheim

Co-founder · Tech & Product

Serial product builder with experience across gamification, social media, IPO processes, and beta-testing for emerging tech. Founded a fashion brand in Tromsø and has co-founded or led several startups since. Runs the engineering side of HeyConcierge: the AI that talks to your guests, the backend that never sleeps, and the integrations with Airbnb, VRBO, WhatsApp and Telegram.

A guest at 3am should not be able to tell whether they are talking to the host or to us. That is the bar.

What we believe

Hospitality is a human business. Software should help, not replace.

Hosts know best

The local trattoria, the working WiFi extender, the neighbour to avoid. That knowledge belongs to the host, not the AI. We just deliver it on time.

Speed beats perfection

A 30-second answer in Japanese at 3am is worth more than a beautifully written reply six hours later.

No surveillance, no upsells

Guest data is for guests. We do not sell it, and we do not pad invoices with features hosts never asked for.

Earn alongside the host

When the AI recommends an experience and the guest books it, the host earns commission. We win when our hosts win.

Boring tech, on purpose

A concierge that goes down at midnight is worse than no concierge. We pick the dependable choice every time.

Built in the open

We talk to hosts every week. The roadmap is shaped by what they actually need, not what looks good in a pitch deck.

Our take

“A guest who feels looked after at midnight leaves a 5-star review the next morning. That is the whole business.”
